It is best to take Nexium 24H once daily, even if you feel well. Taking more than 20mg of Nexium may lead to serious side effects.
Warnings:Allergic reactions, especially in young children or teenagers, may occur during treatment with Nexium 24H. Tell your doctor if you have any of these conditions: heart failure, kidney disease, liver disease, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Nexium 24H if you have severe stomach pain, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or if you are on monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) such as isocarboxazid (Marplan) or linezolid (Zyvox). Before taking it, tell your doctor about all your medical conditions, especially if you smoke, have a eating disorder, or are over the age of 65. Nexium 24H can cause stomach ulcers and bleeding. Contact your doctor if you have stomach problems such as heartburn and stomach bleeding, or if you have ever had a serious reaction to Nexium 24H such as severe skin rash, severe dizziness, or fainting. Taking this medication while you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant may harm your unborn baby. It is not recommended for use in breast-feeding. Ask your doctor about the use of this medication during pregnancy.
